2014 Dairy Margin Protection Program

The 2014 Farm Bill initiated a new dairy risk management program that is expected to assist with price risk management when the MILC and price support programs expire this fall. All dairy farmers will need to make a decision whether to participate or not.  If a farm chooses to participate, they will also have to indicate a level of participation.  OSU Extension and Morrow County Farm Service Agency will be providing education on this topic. The program runs from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
